First Blush

Wow. My first tomato popped of the vine last night. It was a mottled red with an orange tinge, and where it had been on the vine, a slight green knobble. It was small and perfectly round. It wasn't the deep, luscious red of tomatoes in supermarkets (no doubt fiddled with) but, it was just right. Deeply satisfied and excited that no doubt there will be a glut (please, please don't let the sun and heat burn them to a cinder!) I have decided to use that little, first tomato as a isgn to spur me on. I am now investigating wormeries so I can create my own feed to keep the sweet little things as happy as they make me....before I devour and wolf them all down as part of a summer feast!
